On September 29 2009, the results of the web-based survey were made available for stakeholder’s. Catherin Hodgkins, Chair of the Oversight Committee (OC) stated, in a letter to stakeholder’s, that the survey results would not be included as part of the annex to the final report due to the extensive length.

Good news for the creators, viewers and visitors of the website of Metropolis TV. The site of the multimedia project of Hivos and Metropolis VPRO is nominated in the Emerging Media category at the Prix Europa, the largest European media festival for high quality productions on television, radio and new media. Dutch public broadcaster VPRO announced the news. The Prix Europa takes place from October 17 to 24 in Berlin, Germany.
This report provides an overview of a meeting on civil society strengthening and integration in the global health response that was held in Amsterdam from 31 August through 2 September 2009. Organized by Amsterdam-based International Civil Society Support (ICSS), the meeting was conceptualized as a joint retreat for members of civil society delegations to international organizations working on health care policy and access, including the following: the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund), the GAVI Alliance, UNITAID, the International Health Partnership and Related Initiatives (IHP+), Roll Back Malaria (RBM), the Stop TB Partnership and the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH).

Yevgeni Zhovtis, director of the Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law (KIBHR), was convicted for vehicular manslaughter on September 4th 2009. He was sentenced to four years of imprisonment. Yevgeni Zhovtis was involved in a fatal car accident on July 26th 2009, where one person was killed.
